Hey MS experts! Anybody of you guys know how much will be cost x64 Edition of Vista? Thanks.

How much it will be cost?
Probably more than £100.

Depends on the deal you can strike .. are you a good wheeler and dealer ??
Yeah. Bunch of my customers asking this question. Because of massive premature advertising in media about Vista, many of them stop to buy PCs with WinXP and waiting for Vista's PCs. I'm just a small rural PC builder and this situation is not cozy for me.

Sounds like a small nightmare. Well, Vista won't be out 'til near Christmas *maybe* .. so perhaps you can convince them to go ahead and buy now as Christmas is months and months away ?? And when autumn approaches there might be deals vis-a-vis rebates for those who buy beforehand. You might also consider offering your own coupon for an upgrade "at cost" or somesuch for equipment you've sold .. or money off on the Vista upgrade CD-ROM. I heard margins in your business are pretty tight but you might figure out something.
Maybe someone else could comment because I forget what happened in 2001/02 over the upcoming arrival of XP. Did Microsoft offer OEMs coupons for the upcoming OS to keep computer sales going before the new OS arrived??
Sounds good, but there are a few possible problems. There is no way of knowing with certainty that hardware and software sold today will be compatible with Vista. That could get a seller in a bind that promised a discount on Vista to encourage buying now.
The discounts/free upgrades are normally only available in the few weeks before the new OS is released. There is slim to no chance Microsoft will have anything that will help today's buyers for Vista at release time other than the normal upgrade packages. Some OEMs had coupons etc only the last weeks before release.

It will cost you your privacy from the adware and cookies integrated into the OS!
It will cost you your freedom because of all the DRM built in to strip you of your ability to exercise your fair use rights!
Nothing is worth this cost!
-- Windows Vista has as much in the way of features as Calista Flockheart does breasts!
it will be free and opened source : D

It will cost too much, way too much, hopelessly too much, obscenely too much, and so on, depending on the version.

It won't cost much if one is rich. If one is not rich it will seem very expensive. If one gets it via a new PC one will not notice the cost, but become aware soon enough of the inadequacies of the "recovery disc" and wish they had bought instead from a local yocal who would have at least provided an OEM disc.
what recovery disc??? it will never crash!
